S. CECILIA AND THE CRYPT

The church, built by Pasquale I, was restored many times and houses many masterpieces: the middle age ciborio of Arnolfo di Cambio with the statue of S.Cecilia of S.Maderno  and the big mosaic of the Redeemer and the Saints. In the underground there are many stratifications of roman building and the precious Crypt of the beginning of the ‘900.

S. CRISOGONO AND THE CRYPT

The Medieval church, has been restored by Soria. The 22 antique columns divide the three aisles and 2 columns of porfid hold the triumphant arch.
The paleochristian church is in the underground and the  ample apse is decorated with fake draperies of the X centuries. The Confession shows paintings of the VIII century. And the right aisle has frescos of the XI century.
